NEW FERRETTI 560 – SAME WINNING FORMULA, NEW SIZE

f560-ext

A small Ferretti 630, or a big 510?  The brand new Ferretti 560 is a bit of both.  It has all the best bits from its bigger and smaller sisters, including the class-leading saloon that’s fast becoming Ferretti’s signature.  With more daylight than any other, virtually uninterrupted views whether you’re sitting or standing, and Ferretti’s galley-aft layout which has proved such a big hit in sunny climes, there isn’t a saloon to match it – apart from maybe another Ferretti!  Like the 630 and 510, the 560 has two double cabins and a twin, with the owner’s suite full-beam in the centre of the boat – naturally featuring Ferretti’s trademark hull windows and opening ports.  Each of the 560’s three cabins has its own en suite bathroom, and there’s also the option of a crew or kids cabin at the stern in place of the storage.

So, the main difference between these three closely-matched sisters comes down to how much space you’d like and how deep your pockets are.  But look closely, and there are others.  With the 560, Ferretti has begun to develop the hull window concept to the next level.  Having brightened up the owner’s suite and the saloon as never before, Ferretti has turned its attention to the other cabins on the lower deck, introducing more hull windows and yet more daylight, this time to the VIP guest cabin in the bow, the twin- twinberth guest cabin, and the owner’s bathroom.  The remarkable thing is that Ferretti has berth achieved this without in any way compromising its traditional compliance with RCD category ‘A’ – the classification which means that Ferrettis are approved for use in conditions with winds over Force 8 and waves over 4m [still a rarity amongst production motor yachts].  Even with the extra windows, the 560 has retained the formidable structural integrity and seagoing capability for which Ferrettis are both renowned and officially recognised.

The décor in the new 560 is as elegant and tasteful as you’d expect from Ferretti.

Joinery is finished in bleached oak, with complementary fabrics that together create a wonderfully refined, relaxed serenity.  The machinery space is classic Ferretti.  The fuel is at the fulcrum of the boat, immediately aft of the owner’s suite, so it has minimal effect on trim.  Twin 900hp MAN V8 diesels sit neatly above their shafts, driving through v-drive ZF gearboxes, and give the 560 an estimated top speed of 32 knots with 28 knots cruising.  Featuring all the very best of Ferretti’s latest ideas and developments from the past few years, the 560 beautifully encapsulates the state of the art in cruising comfort and contemporary flybridge motor yacht design.
