New Ferretti 740 – Elegance in 23m

Following the success of the previous model Ferretti 731, the new Ferretti 740 made her worldwide première at the Genoa Boat Show in October.
As a result of the cooperation between Advanced Yacht Technology of Ferretti group and Studio Zuccon International Project, the Ferretti 740 is a yacht with a strong personality, created for an Owner who wants to have spacious interiors with a design & decor where warm tones and precious materials predominate, wide sun-zones and innovative solutions like the new design of the hull-windows to have spaces plunged in natural light.
A yacht featuring an inclination for classical style but with elegant, contemporary stylistic touches, coming from passionate technical and aesthetical research by the Ferretti shipyard in order to retain the ”Made in Italy” excellence, a master of elegance.
EXTERIOR
The external profile of the Ferretti 740 is sleek and streamlined thanks to the graphic lines of the windows, that almost completely cover the main deck, and feature a succession of curves and straight, like the three “branchial shark” windows that make the boat distinguished. In addition to the through-hull windows of the Owners cabin, two additional types of window have been inserted in the hull: a window that features an oval shape with two portholes, and an additional one, at bow, wide and with porthole that can be opened, has been designed to enhance the presence of natural light in every guest area.
On the stern spoiler there is a comfy sofa-bench with electro-hydraulic movement system. The cockpit, with teak floor, is furnished with a sofa, a big table and chairs. On the left, the stairs give access to the flying bridge where the pilot station has been placed further back and in a central position to give a broader view for navigation and piloting the yacht. The pilot seat has a 360° turning circle, allowing the Owner to turn round and share relaxing moments with their guests in the U-shaped dinette behind. A big table and grill area complete the external living zone. Ferretti 740 is also available in hard top version with electric opening of the bimini top.

MAIN DECK
The wide salon of Ferretti 740, that maintains the structural line of the previous model Ferretti 731 but featuring a new layout, is plunged in natural light and offers a cosy atmosphere created by the tones of the materials selected for the furniture and the bleached walnut, used for the first time onboard Ferretti’s yachts. The interior has been managed to obtain to separated areas – living and dining area – but keeping in the meanwhile an harmonious continuity of space without interruption for the view.
On the left, a wide sofa in a “L” shape and a comfortable armchair are positioned around a low table. Starboard, there is a TV with pop-up system and an additional sofa for three followed by the stairs to the flying bridge. The dining area – separated from the living through wood furniture, features a tempered glass table and chairs for eight guests. The site specific work of art “Riflexxioni”, created by the Italian artist Vittoria Vanghelis is located on the wall in front of the dining table and gives an additional touch of elegance and uniqueness making the yacht a piece of art on the sea.
The dining zone opens to an access area that connects galley, pilothouse, the exterior and the lower deck, making more easy the access for the crew. The galley is located in a strategic position, between the dining area and the pilot house, in order to let the crew moving without disturbing the guest’s privacy. Once more, the shipyard chose the top of made in Italy with a fully-equipped Ernestomeda galley model, with glossy lacquered furnishing in to enhance the light of this area. A sliding door give access to the exterior. At bow is located the pilot house with dinette/charting zone and extendable table.
On the lower deck, the Ferretti 740 cabins are distinguished by studied details: bulkheads and walls are covered in light-coloured fabric framing the windows, which allow in plenty of light. The beds have wood structures and have decorated bed-heads. All the cabins have a private bathroom equipped.
The full-beam Owner’s suite is located in the centre of the boat, with walk-in wardrobe and bathroom with wengé floor where dominates a wide semicircular shower offering a wonderful view of the sea through the open view window. At bow is located the VIP cabin, illuminated by the new project of window; the two guest cabins where the natural light comes inside from the wide, new-designed windows. All the cabins are completed by private heads.
INTERIOR DECOR
Timeless elegance of Ferretti 740 comes from the perfect balance between a functional design with that aims to the highest level of liveability and the research of the best materials, with a prevalence of bright nuances like ivory, beige and brown palette.
The bleached walnut with very light grain makes the atmosphere warm, comfortable and elegant. The interior is brighten up by colour contrasts of decorative details, like ceilings, panels made in natural textiles and leather for the bead-heads and the special mixture of natural fibres created for some doors. Besides the natural light, that dominates the atmosphere onboard, the shipyard has accomplished a very accurate illuminating engineering analysis to integrate the layout with the lighting system in order to obtain maximum comfort and relax.
The work of art “Reflexxioni” by Vittoria Vanghelis is located in the salon on the wall in front of the dining area covering a surface of four square meters. This work of art has been created with a mix of techniques (oil, plaster, wax, achrilic, silk) on a wood surface and it is built by 16 square elements intersected by led lights that emerge from the material. “Reflexxioni” is the result of the cooperation and interaction of the Artist and the Project Design: an expressive performance built during the production of the yacht in order to affirm “A new Era of the Contents” through an artistic research by Vittoria Vanghelis that is identified by “The maritime silk route”. Once again, Ferretti Yachts’ excellence is the perfect combination of the highest level of design, techonological innovation an artistic research in order to obtain an “unicum expressive” where the sea is the protagonist.
