On February 24th, at the opening of the International Sport & Boat Show in Zagreb Ferretti Group affirmed itself once again as world leader in the luxury motor yacht market.  Itama Fifty and Ferretti 470 were awarded as Croatian Boats of the year 2010, in the category over 50 ft and from 45 to 49 ft respectively.

Online boating magazine NauCat, Croatian and world shipbuilders have elected for the eighth time in a row the Croatian Boat of the Year in order to stimulate the further development of pleasure and sport boats at all levels.  In Croatian professional circles, this award is regarded as one of the most competent, because it is the professionals themselves – dealing with the Croatian market – who are requested to decide which yacht should be defined as the best, among 60 boats divided into 3 categories and 11 groups.

The prestigious award assigned to Itama brand new 50-footer confirmed again its capacity to offer an ideal balance between sporty sea performance and ultimate comfort, feature reached thanks to the great team working that has involved Marco Casali, the architect responsible for the design of the new Itama range, the Itama Engineering Department and the Ferretti Group AYT (Advanced Yacht Technology) division.  In fact, the guests of the owner have been offered more privacy, thanks to the VIP cabin located in the stern, with a direct stairway to the cockpit; on the other hand, Itama Fifty guarantees the sea keeping Itama is well known for, even though when it cruises at a speed of 35 knots.

Also concerning Ferretti 470, Croatian Boat of the year 2010, in the category from 45 to 49 ft, comfort is the leit motiv: designed by Studio Zuccon International Project, in partnership with the Ferretti Group AYT (Advanced Yacht Technology) division, this yacht has special features that make its uniqueness.  Firstly, the window area has been increased; further, the location of the galley aft optimises the use of interior space and enhances liveability.
