Race-bred performance

For those who delight in being ahead of the pack there is only one choice – Pershing. While others might reach 40mph, the boat heading over the horizon at 50mph is most likely a Pershing. From their race-bred surface drive propulsion technology to the high-tech ‘scrimp system’ used for their exceptionally strong, light-weight hulls, Pershing leads where others follow. The option of a 5000hp gas turbine power unit in their 115’ model – in addition to the standard twin diesels – yields an astounding top speed of over 60mph.

This performance and the superbly spacious design are what so impressed the judges of the Superyacht Awards, in which the Pershing 115 won the title ‘Best Performance Superyacht’. Not that performance is the only element in the design brief that matters to Pershing. They also have a particular talent for creating stunning interiors, with a contemporary open plan feel and a distinctive style all of their own. On the 115, the owner’s suite occupies the full 23ft beam of the boat. It incorporates not just one but two en-suite bathrooms, and looks more like the living space you’d find in a Monaco penthouse apartment than in the average motor yacht.
