There's a comfortable sense of spaciousness about a 55-footer, and on the 550 that means, as well as a generously proportioned flybridge and aft deck, there is also a delightful seating/breakfasting/lounging area on the foredeck. At the stern, the galley is right at the rear of the saloon, convenient for serving onto the aft deck. And the bathing platform can be raised and lowered at the touch of a button to launch or recover the tender.

Being a family boat, the main deck is open-plan, giving not only a wonderfully bright and airy feel but also a panoramic 360º view for the skipper from the main helm. A choice of either twin 730hp or 800hp engines give a top speed of 30 knots or 31.5 knots respectively. At 25 knots, the 550 will cruise effortlessly all day with a range of 310nm.
