The magnificent 108 is the first ever Pershing to have triple engines, not simply for high speed – although she is impressively fast – but to provide a degree of economical versatility, with the option to engage one, two or three engines according to how fast and how far you want to go.
The huge expanse of space on the main deck is a trademark of every Pershing, thanks to the combination of a substantial main saloon and the 'vanishing' glass partition between saloon and aft deck which slides away to create one seamless, indoor-outdoor living area. Three engines give not only thrilling, high-speed performance, with a top speed of 42 knots (48mph) they also offer the versatility of running at up to 23 knots on just the 2 outer engines, or using just the centre engine on its own, for cruising longer distances. At 10 knots, she has a range of over 1000nm, and is remarkably quiet at around 69-75 dB.
