At 54ft overall, the 5x is the smallest, lightest and most nimble of the current Pershing fleet, and the only one powered by IPS drives. She was born of customers’ desire for a smaller, more economical Pershing, under 60ft, with all the usual Pershing style, and which also had the enclosed main deck saloon of the larger boats.
Like the larger Pershings, the 5x has a sliding glazed door and window enclosing the rear of the main saloon, which folds away and tucks up under the roof above to create a fabulous, seamless, open-plan living space right through from helm to aft cockpit. Down below, the delightful owner's suite is full beam, with a transverse bed giving lovely views out through the hull window. A second double suite is in the bow, with an option opposite the galley for either a twin-bunk third cabin, a crew cabin with wc or a dining saloon.
View GalleryThe profile of the 5x displays the very latest Pershing styling, including the arching aerofoils that sweep back from the coachroof to the stern and effectively channel the air flow to deflect spray away from the aft cockpit. There's plenty of outside space to enjoy, with a foredeck sunbed, seating/dining in the aft cockpit, a huge aft sunbed and a stern platform. A neat stern garage houses a tender up to 2.8m.
View GalleryIf you like the Pershing style, but you don't need the 45-knot performance of surface drives, the Pershing 5x could be what you're looking for. The 5x is powered by a pair of smooth, quiet, 725hp Volvo IPS drives. They're very easy to handle, and still give her a top speed of 36 knots. Cruising speed is over 30 knots, with a range of 300nm.
